Young Men Who Can’t Think for Themselves Are Going to Struggle in Life

Education is not simply about earning degrees or memorizing information. It is about learning how to question, analyze, and think independently. In this episode of Lessons for Young Brothers, Jr. “The Bald Head” reflects on the difference between education and indoctrination. He explains why young Black men must question their beliefs, consider opposing viewpoints, challenge ideas that no longer serve them, and avoid blindly repeating what they hear from the media or people around them. A young man who never learns to think for himself will always be vulnerable to manipulation. True education expands your mind instead of replacing one set of unquestioned beliefs with another.
